Cleaning and cleaning utensils
In hygienic surface treatment, a distinction is made between disinfection and cleaning.
Cleaning is mainly used to remove dirt. Only water and cleaning-enhancing additives (usually surfactants) are used, but these have little to no germicidal effect. Cleaning utensils must not spread germs! Color coding for wipes makes sense.
The spread of germs is also prevented by the fact that soiled cleaning utensils are never immersed in clean cleaning water, as this would otherwise become soiled and germs would then be spread by the cleaning process
